- What is coaching?
- Coaching is a partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching concentrates on where you are now and what you are willing to do to get to where you want to be in the future.
- What is the role of a life coach?
- A life coach is the bridge between where you are and where you want to be. Life coaching is based on the premise that YOU have the answers. As a life coach it is my job to ask the right questions to lead you to YOUR answers.
- What can I expect from coaching?
- As your life coach, I support you unconditionally and assist you in achieving your dreams and goals. Then you are given the tools, skills, and support to help you achieve them. In each session you choose the focus of the conversation while I listen and contribute observations and questions. This creates clarity and moves you into action. Coaching accelerates your progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice.
- What is positive psychology and how is it used in coaching?
- Positive Psychology is the scientific study of well-being. Positive psychology distinguishes itself from clinical psychology, which has traditionally focused on healing mental illnesses. Rather than fixing what is wrong with an individual, positive psychology aims to promote and strengthen what is right in non-clinical populations. In coaching, positive psychology is used to teach individuals new behavioral and cognitive skills in order to increase motivation, overcome obstacles, achieve dreamed-about goals, and make the transitions and adjustments necessary to become the best they can be in any or all areas of their lives.
- Is coaching the same as therapy or counseling?
- No. While there are some similar characteristics (one on one dialogue, on-going support, and strict confidentiality), the differences are critical:
- Therapists and counselors often concentrate on the past in order to help their clients become functional. There is an underlying assumption that something is wrong with the client that they need to be fixed or healed.
- A coach is professionally trained to work in the present and help the client move into action. In coaching, the client is intact, wise, and resourceful. A coach helps functional clients become exceptional.

- Take the Limits Off is just like the title implies. This coaching package will expand your reach and optimize your potential. You will break down the barriers that you have unconsciously set up for yourself. These barriers are keeping you down, preventing you from achieving the level of greatness that you are capable of. Once you've gone through this program you'll start to notice some incredible changes inside of you, such as increased self confidence and optimism. - How are the coaching sessions done?
- Our standard Coaching sessions are done over the phone so you can attend your sessions from anywhere you choose! You phone me at our agreed upon time. This is a toll free number so you do not incur long distance charges. We also offer coaching by email.
- How much do the coaching sessions cost?
- Please see our Packages page for investment rates. We also offer an Introductory Consultation at a special $100.00 rate.
- What is the Introductory Consultation and how do I set one up?
- The Introductory Consultation is a 60 minute coaching session that is available so that you can 'test drive' the coaching experience. We will be in touch with you to schedule a day and time that works well for both of us.
